I grew up a Catholic and no longer consider myself one. I made that decision 16 or 17 years ago when I didn’t agree with their doctrine. It’s certainly a slow road going.

It’s not impossible to remain true to your faith and history while still embracing the changing modern world that wasn’t even considered 2000 years ago.

Really, just take a look at the Shaker religion. Of which there are only two houses left, ’cause that’s what happens when your religion promotes no sexual contact between the sexes. The only way to make more Shakers is to convert them.
