You’re born..

..You die… In between, take the time to play the drums…

From Neatorama:

100 people, arranged in order of their ages from one to 100, all play a drum. It’s much more fascinating than it sounds. The film was produced by Lenka Clayton and James Price.

I agree that it was pretty fascinating. But then again, I like images and documentary style photography that deals with changes over time.

I can’t believe he interrupted the picture! You know those frat boys, always jumping in front of the camera. ArmadaPortraitOfQueenElizabeth

Cock-a-doodle don’t

Flickr - http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1379/1305325207_5a298b8d2f.jpgIt’s been only 4 months since the dangling testicles of truckhood incident, and I continue to see them from time to time. We went to South Carolina over the holidays, and saw them aplenty. Even funnier when it’s a woman driving the truck.

Well Virginia lawmakers aren’t going to take it anymore, and

State Del. Lionel Spruill introduced a bill Tuesday to ban displaying replicas of human genitalia on vehicles, calling it a safety issue because it could distract other drivers.

That means if you have a cock on your hood, you should probably take it off.

YIP 2007 – MSNBC

I actually look at the MSNBC weekly photos and try to vote for the top picture, so their 2007 Year in Pictures has many familiar images to me. When compared to the NY Times presentation though, I prefer the MSNBC interface. Their slideshow is accompanied by music and overlayed newscasts. This really gives it more of a feel for actual events.

RIP Robert Jordan

From Slashdot:

“James Oliver Rigney Jr, author of the long-running fantasy series The Wheel of Time and better known to millions of fans by the pen name Robert Jordan, died on 16 Sept 2007 from cardiac amyloidosis. Jordan announced he had been diagnosed with the disease in March 2006 and vowed to beat the odds, but determination and gumption sometimes just aren’t enough in the face of a disease with a median survival time of just over two years. Jordan was in the process of writing the twelfth and final book in the Wheel of Time series, A Memory of Light, but the book was not slated for release until 2009 and is still incomplete. While there is hope that the book will still be finished from Jordan’s notes, this is devastating news to all of us who have been reading the series since 1990.”

Smooth as a baby’s

I want to thank Monkeyfilter for providing me with this link to have an enjoyable start to my friday.

Fight for Kisses

I’m guessing this is a kickoff ad for a larger campaign.. I don’t actually watch commercials on TV anymore if I can help it (thank you DVR), but I wouldn’t be against watching them ON PURPOSE on a website if the ad campaign was good enough.. How strange is that?

Schrodinger’s Cheeseburger

Regularly, Jeremy ([info]ianraven) throws out a random lolcat phrase that makes reference to the current situation. Often they are very ‘heady’, and appeal on an higher intellectual level. We had several concerning the midrealm fencers during Pennsic.

While not a huge lolcat fan, I still find myself chuckling. Listening to this past weeks TWiT podcast #110, I found myself tracking down the following lolcat, + Maybe +, and thought of him immediately.
