So what does the bankruptcy mean for the world’s oldest gaming convention? According to the company’s press release, the show’s still on for 2008. But still, not an encouraging sign for the gaming world.
I haven’t been in a few years since the kids were born, but that didn’t mean I wasn’t planning on going back!

I’ve heard it described as a pretty savvy move on their part, to guarantee that they’ll be around for a long time. They ran into legal troubles with George Lucas…something about the Star Wars Celebrations, I think. As I understand it, that was the biggest problem. They also had some little issues with their West Coast show and Gen Con Australia. They’re likely to consolidate to make the Indy show stronger.
This is mostly off of rumors on some developers’ sites and RPGNet, mind you.
