[Personal] Boring April 1st.
On My Mind 9:59 am () BBC - Wikipedia
I had a particularly boring April 1st this year. Probably because it fell on a weekend, and I couldn’t tease any of my coworkers. In fact, I didn’t play a single gag the entire day. *sigh* I need to plan better next year.
Here’s a great list of some of the top ones. I love it when a large company helps to encourage a good gag.
#4: The Taco Liberty BellIn 1996 the Taco Bell Corporation announced that it had bought the Liberty Bell from the federal government and was renaming it the Taco Liberty Bell. Hundreds of outraged citizens called up the National Historic Park in Philadelphia where the bell is housed to express their anger.
Did anyone get to participate in a particularly fun gag this year (either as the originator or victim)?

During the heyday of Dr. Who I was once witness to a prank pulled by a Dr. Who fanclub. Repercussions of it reached the BBC before it was confessed as a joke. Alas, this was so long ago that I could find no record of it on the intarweb.
