Well I got a chance to screw around with the layout of the blog over the weekend. I’m still trying to get the OpenID login to work correctly, and by doing so, I found some faults with the theme implementation I was using.
So I stripped it down, and cleaned it up a bit. I still have some work to do with the loop for the post content. It looks like the theme was based on an older version of WordPress, and just wasn’t updated with the newer functions.
At least now, it looks much cleaner on the backend.
While I was in there, I changed the way my date display is shown for each entry. Something I wanted to do since the beginning, but managed to cobble to php and the CSS together to make it work the way I wanted.
My next order of business is to get the threaded comments working. I don’t like the current display, but why should I waste time making it look pretty if it’s going to be overhauled anyway?
