I actually appreciate being tagged more than actually sharing the information. I guess its natural; we all want to feel like someone is interested, not only in the spectacular parts of our lives (the parts we’re willing to photograph or videotape), but also the plain and simple. Its very comforting to know that our friends are interested in our favorite ice-cream.
For this particular meme, I was tagged by an old friend from college that moved, and I lost track of. LiveJournal became the way we re-acquainted ourselves. I appreciate the thought that someone a few hours drive away cares about whether or not I like to fence, or what my favorite song is, this week.
I, as well, have no particular love of lycanthropes, and I’m rather fond of cream soda. Though I’d much rather find a good supply of sasparilla, or, even better, birch beer from Binky’s Tavern in Belleville, NJ.
“16. My favorite type is soda is Cream. My friend Steve and I actually considered joining a “Cream Soda of the Month” club, just so we can taste some new flavors.”
I love cream soda. Steve once gave me a jug of it to drink. I don’t even remember if he warned me that it’d been sitting around for a year and a half, or some abysmal time period, before I took a sip. That was foul.
“No one says Duncan who? They either know me or they don’t. I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Except for me-who confused you and Ronan for the first two years I knew the two of you. I still laugh over that. I think I finally started to keep it straight after my first tourney where after doing very well and thinking something was wrong with me I asked you to kill me. But I still call you Ronan every once in a while for the laugh. LOL

Yeah, well that’s the SCA where sometimes you can swing a dead cat and hit more than one Duncan. It’s actually kinda weird to be in a room and have someone call out Duncan and *not* have them mean me.

Yup, birch beer is one of those regional things. I actually got a rootbeer making kit for Christmas. Once the intial two batches are done, it isn’t too useful anymore unles you buy the refill kit.
More importantly though, Jean got me a book on how to make your own Root Beer (and other sodas). I’ve gotten a dozen Grolsch bottles (the nice porcelin swing tops), and I’m ready to rock and roll. The book has a lot of great old recipes in it. I need to get some yeast and some flavorings and get started.
I think I’ve known you for too long…there were exactly 0 of those 20 facts that I didn’t already know. I was also at least peripherally involved in 25% of them…we’re getting old.
Fascinating these little facts that a limited number of people know…
I keep forgetting you were a BFA film major back at IC. You and Dan.
I had forgetten that Duncan was not, in fact, your first name.
Do you realize, we’ve now known each other for 14 years??
“10. I have an entry in IMDB ”
For some reason I find that wonderfully cool 🙂

/me begins playful jest
When the French start thinking you’re cool, you should probably reevalutate your path in life.

Thank you very much for the comment!
